GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is a key member of DaVita’s field management team. This position is responsible for the general management and oversight of operations. This position provides strategic and tactical leadership, counsel and direction to the field management of DaVita to ensure safe, efficient, therapeutic and ethical patient care. Additionally, this position identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities, monitors division performance, and works closely with General Manager to develop competitive strategies in alignment with DaVita’s mission and values. Position has budget and P&L accountability.

Position has full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, hiring, retention, performance development, performance management, salary adjustments, and termination of direct reports. Position has general, overall responsibility for teammate decisions within region.

  • Develop and execute strategic operating plans and goals for assigned division
    • Track metrics and success criteria including ROI for all activities
    • Analyze current center trends impacting patient service delivery
    • Review, analyze, and address gaps in service excellence, policies, and/or procedures proactively; identify issues and implement solutions
    • Lead the creation and implementation of teammate development processes and succession planning including mentoring, coaching, and modeling appropriate leadership behaviors.
  • Manage financial and revenue growth, operations and labor management, contract management, and clinical outcomes within the division.
  • Fulfill broad-reaching, strategic responsibility for the development and implementation of proactive programs, operational improvements, communications, and other division-specific general management responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
  • At least seven (7) years’ progressive management experience required.
  • Healthcare provider operating experience strongly preferred, dialysis or similar provider services experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful fiscal and operating management; demonstrated financial expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and managing at strategic and operational levels.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel required; intermediate skills and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This position (CSS) functions to provide expert nephrology knowledge to nurses and patients in the DaVita facilities. Provision of a quality nephrology service through consultation with Country Nursing Lead (CNL) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The function of each individual may vary depending on the needs and structure of their Division

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Professional

  • Maintains own professional development. Regularly update current knowledge through attendance and participation in conferences, seminars and workshops.
  • Maintains own level of knowledge and clinical competence in accordance with current trends in contemporary nursing.
  • Actively participates and undertakes quality improvement activities.

Clinical

  • Assist in the development, review, revision, and compliance of clinical policies and procedures and/or education materials.

  • Participate with the Country Nursing Lead (CNL) and Facility Administrator (FA) in the identification and development of facility specific education and outcome goals.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the goals to achieve desired results.
  • Provides a consultancy service for other appropriate health professionals within DaVita facilities.
  • Develops and conducts formal and informal education for appropriate nurses and teammates.
  • Assist in the development of patient education program, conduct patient education seminar, and participate in patient focus program.
  • Coordinate the review and investigation of sentinel adverse occurrences and participate in the plan of correction and follow-up as requested.

 

Administration

  • Facilitate all education program/audit process, scheduling of classes and logistic requirement.
  • Provide support/direction to all Quality Champions/Preceptor and develop resolution to address their needs.
  • Oversees the timely submission of all reports and data collection requests by the corporate support teams.
  • Assist in Corporate and/or Division initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Facilitate all external regulatory and safety audits and requirements on and as needed basis.

 

Quality Improvement

  • Actively participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of continuous quality improvement programs.
  • Benchmark facilities outcomes, identify and share best practices.
  • Ensure quality improvement programs are in place and functional in the facilities.
  • Perform clinical audits as indicated and provide support in developing a plan of correction. Work with the Facility Administrator and Operational Director to ensure implementation and resolution of deficiencies.
  • Coordinate the review and investigation of sentinel adverse occurrences and participate in the plan of correction and follow up as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfil the essential duties, including computer skills as required.

  • Registered as a general nurse with Malaysia Nursing Board
  • Post Basic Certification/Diploma in Renal Nursing
  • Extensive and recent experience in Nephrology nursing (minimum 3 years)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Nephrology nursing theory and practice
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Computer literacy

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible to coordinate with various leaders on projects, perform analysis, investigate and solve operational and business inefficiencies using analytical and process improvement methodologies. In addition, the position is also to assist the General Manager in developing, implementing, and refining systems and processes to meet key business objectives.

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses on a broad array of issues across disciplines, projects, and functional areas as assigned. 
  • Evaluate projects to determine SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and translate into business efficiencies which leads to rolling out Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs) and/or Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects where applicable.
  • Supports leadership team, Operations Team and other internal stakeholders in develop and maintain tools, i.e. dashboard, charts, slides and revamp operations processes within timelines.
  • Build consolidate and track progress on key performance indicators for the business.
  • Organize and participate in various projects and business meetings; preparation of meeting minutes and letters to stakeholders. 
  • Monitor the closure of all departments (Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Clinical) audit findings; 
  • Provide support in project management and roll out of strategic initiatives, including clinical programs and expansion, renovation and construction of clinics to ensure smooth and timely implementation.

  • Weekly tracking of patient count and reporting to GM alongside with percentage of patient adds and drops.
  • Preparing of Monthly Operations Report (MOR) via collaboration with all leads and establishing a comprehensive summary based on month to month action plan for columns required under MOR.
  • Attentive to details related to where GM’s signatory is concerned such as payment related documents, contracts, agreements and regulatory letters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least with Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent is required.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is responsible for the delivery of all dialysis related nursing services for the End Stage Renal Disease patient in a chronic setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Supervises and performs direct patient care including but not limited to taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments, taking and transcription of physician’s orders, drawing and documentation of ordered laboratory work
  • Notes signs of trauma, patients’ general physical and mental condition, reviews dialysis orders, documents observations in patient medical records
  • Analyzes patient assessments, laboratory data and, when concerns are noted, brings issues to the attention of the physician
  • Communicates all emergencies, patient life-threatening complications and related incidents to supervisor, Medical Director, Regional Operations Director, Facility or Group Facility Administrator
  • Assesses patient and family learning readiness and provides appropriate information on renal disease, prescribed dialysis treatment, and medical regimen and its impact on the patient’s state of health and well-being
  • Provides dialysis therapy, including but not limited to formulating dialysis plan per physician orders, weight and rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures are in place and complied with, administering medications or other appropriate treatments, discontinuing dialysis according to established procedure, documenting all activity appropriately
  • Instructs patients on pre- and post-dialysis care
  • Administers patient quality care in a considerate, respectful manner
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the patient’s short and long term plan of care and monthly progress note
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Registered as a general nurse with Malaysia Nursing Board
  • Current practicing certificate
  • New graduate, less than one year after obtaining license 
  • Less than three months of dialysis experience
  • Holds an approved nephrology nursing qualification, post-basic qualification for nephrology
  • Basic computer skills in in MS Word and Outlook required.
