Eggless Scone

Eggless Scone
  • ½ cup low sodium margarine 
  • 6 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ½ cup dried fruits
  • ½ teaspoon mix herbs
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • ¼ teaspoon soda bicarbonate
  • 1 ½ cup self-rising flour
  • 6 tablespoon hot water
  • 3 tablespoon almond pieces
  • 1 teaspoon margarine * 
  • 1 teaspoon wheat flour * 

* Grease oven tray with margarine and sprinkle with flour

  1. Using a flat wok and small heat, heat margarine with sugar, dried fruits, mix herbs and nutmeg powder.
  2. Stir for 3 minutes.
  3. Switch off heat and let mixture to cool to room temperature.
  4. Add soda bicarbonate. Stir mixture and set aside.
  5. Using a bowl, add flour.
  6. Make a hole in the middle. Add luke warm water.
  7. Add margarine mixture. Mix well.
  8. Pour into oven tray.
  9. Sprinkle with pieces of almonds.
  10. Heat oven with 365° F (185°C).
  11. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes
  12. Let cake to cool for 5 minutes in the oven before taking it out.
