Iron Outreach Program

A COLLABORATION BETWEEN DAVITA MALAYSIA AND DUOPHARMA BIOTECH HELPS ALMOST 700 PATIENTS WITH IRON DEFICIENCY. 

DaVita Malaysia collaborates with Duopharma Biotech Berhad in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to launch DaVita Malaysia’s Iron Outreach Program. This initiative aims to improve patients’ Haemoglobin (Hb) levels by providing complimentary iron supplements for almost 700 eligible patients at 39 DaVita centres nationwide. Most people on dialysis have anaemia and are unable to sustain or develop red blood cells which are often lost during haemodialysis treatment. This joint CSR program offers 10 complimentary iron supplement injections to these patients to achieve better health outcomes.

I believe this initiative will be of benefit to many of our patients who are financially challenged, especially in these trying times of COVID-19 in which many have lost their source of income and are unable to afford dialysis”.
