We exist to serve our patients
We exist to serve our patients—they are our reason for being. What’s most important to our patients is feeling cared about as people, not just as patients. Through a democratic process, we landed on WE CARE—six behaviors to consistently show patients we care about them as people. WE CARE is the act of caring through six specific behaviors that we can show while we provide quality clinical care. And it is specific to our interactions with patients WE CARE is a set of specific, observable behaviors that we strive to show in every patient interaction to deliver an exceptional caring experience. WE CARE stands for Welcome, Empathize, Connect, Actively listen, Respect and Encourage.

Learn about, remember and celebrate what personally matters to our patients; find common ground.
Give full attention to what our patients are sharing and reiterate to confirm understanding.
Acknowledge and honor the feelings, wishes, rights and traditions of our patients.
