Living Donor Kidney Transplant

In conjunction with World Kidney Day 2022, DaVita Malaysia and Sunway Medical Centre collaborated together to host a ZOOM webinar on Living Donor Kidney Transplantation which was attended by 356 participants. Kidney transplant is the surgical procedure to place a healthy kidney from a living or deceased donor into a person whose kidneys no longer functions. In this session, the focus is on the transplantation of living donors. It was a fruitful session for dialysis patients as well as caregivers who are also potential kidney recipients/donors. Related topics were presented by 3 doctors namely Dr Rosnawati Yahaya, Director of Medical Affairs of DaVita Malaysia, Nephrologist of Sunway Medical Center and she is also the Head of Transplant Unit and Deputy Head of Nephrology Department of Kuala Lumpur Hospital, followed by Dr Tan Li Ping, Chief Medical Officer of DaVita Malaysia and Dr Murali Sundram, Urologist from Sunway Medical Center.
