Eggless Scone
Ingredients
- ½ cup low sodium margarine
- 6 tablespoon granulated sugar
- ½ cup dried fruits
- ½ teaspoon mix herbs
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
- ¼ teaspoon soda bicarbonate
- 1 ½ cup self-rising flour
- 6 tablespoon hot water
- 3 tablespoon almond pieces
- 1 teaspoon margarine *
- 1 teaspoon wheat flour *
* Grease oven tray with margarine and sprinkle with flour
Instructions
- Using a flat wok and small heat, heat margarine with sugar, dried fruits, mix herbs and nutmeg powder.
- Stir for 3 minutes.
- Switch off heat and let mixture to cool to room temperature.
- Add soda bicarbonate. Stir mixture and set aside.
- Using a bowl, add flour.
- Make a hole in the middle. Add luke warm water.
- Add margarine mixture. Mix well.
- Pour into oven tray.
- Sprinkle with pieces of almonds.
- Heat oven with 365° F (185°C).
- Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes
- Let cake to cool for 5 minutes in the oven before taking it out.
