Sago Gula Melaka
Ingredients
Sago
- 4 cups water
- 1 pandan leaf – tie into a knot
- 1 cup sago – soak in water for 30 minutes then drained.
For Sauce
- ½ cup evaporated milk
For the Syrup (To be mixed together)
- 3 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 pandan leaf – tie into a knot
Instructions
- Boil water with pandan leaf. Add food colouring if necessary.
- Add sago, stir and cook until sago turns transparent. Switch off heat.
- Drain sago and wash under running water to drain off starch.
- Pour into a container. Let cold inside fridge for 30 minutes.
For the Syrup:
- Cook sugar with water and pandan leaf until sugar dissolve and water thickens. Strain syrup if necessary.
Instructions to Serve
- Remove sago from container.
- Pour syrup and 3 tablespoon evaporated milk.
